Skarr and Velfor had done much with Dramina, a society of Dwarves living below the Earth, since its revival, a thousand years after its mines collapsed. First was the rebirth of its forges, and thus, the Forgemasters. Then happened along the rebuilding of Dramina’s housing district. Next was reopening its college to teach everyone Dwarven history. And lastly came restoring the markets to trading and selling of goods amongst Dwarves everywhere. Dramina remained the last bastion of Dwarvenkind, sunken beneath the world itself and almost touching its core. Long ago its forges died out, and the Forgemasters fell, thus leaving its society without any pillars of livelihood. Though, below the rubble, few surviving Dwarves prevailed on one ember of hope. And Skarr unburied this ember, rekindling it into a blazing forgefire. Derek was a force to be reckoned with. He held command over all Earth bases throughout the Kydon war’s duration. Leading them into action, drafting children into training until adults wherein they’d mindlessly slay Kydons at the whim of his word, and teaching all to obey his command, the Human overlord was entirely ruthless. Derek lusted after the Kydons’ fabled sword of Jun’ka’ur–the beacon of technology. This weapon alone could control any technological device, whether of Antu’rok make or Earth, or any planet for that matter. And by proxy, it controlled all Kydon life, seeing that Kydons existed as sentient robotic beings with wings. Through force, Derek would take the blade. He would sow the seeds of a plan so deceitful that none saw its perils but one. Devising his undertaking with solely himself in mind, he forged it foolproof and entirely locked away inside himself, never writing a thing so as to protect his words from the senses of Humans and Kydons. Hafgrim cuddled up in bed to his husband, Rhegar. One arm around his back, the other under his head, Hafgrim held both knees against his and Rhegar’s chests, then kissed him gently upon the forehead. Rhegar blushed. He smiled warmly, displaying his Vampire fangs, and nuzzled the viking’s neck with them, purring lowly. “Sweetheart, you’re too kind,” Hafgrim mustered, waking from his sleep. He rubbed his eyes against the pillow, then looked upon Rhegar, who curled up and wrapped both legs around Hafgrim’s body, in a returning cuddle. “There’s no such thing,” Rhegar said. “Not for you, or our family.” “Very true. But!
