Everything is petrified
A large bee flies
Possibly in search
Of a home
To remain safe inside of

No leaves move
All grass blades are
Softened statues

A grayed sky
Just as motionless
As the land around it
Not a single cloud
Moving at a pace
Noticeable to the human eye

Birds cease their chirping
Squirrels hide away
Cats run home
Cars are scarce on the road
And no human is about

Leaves shine with
Their silver-dipped coats
Everything darkens
And clouds prepare to cry

The air is an oven
With no door to escape

Wind is nonexistent

A storm is coming
Inspired by the exact weather outside my house, every detail contributing to the overall look at the moment. It's terrifying. Nothing is moving. But seriously, the bee looks HUGE!! It must have been at least three inches long!! I wonder what kind it is, but it seems much scarier than the current conditions outside.

But yeah. It's going to storm. We're supposed to get thunder and lightning finally! I've been hearing faint rumbles here and there, but I want it to be a wicked storm. I love thunder and lightning. :D Anyway, I might write another poem if we get thunder and lightning. I'm inspired by the smallest things, and it'll be a ton of fun to make something to follow this one up.

I learned from my setpgrandpa that if the silver side of the leaves are showing on a tree, a storm is coming. And if you live in the countryside, if the cows are sitting, a storm is coming as well. But I don't live in the countryside, so I just rely on the weather predictions of that day, and the side of the leaves showing.

Ok, even in the time I'm writing this whole thing, nothing has moved yet. Creepy! :D

Thanks for reading, and I hope it storms here soon! I can't stand the heat... It's summer weather and yet only mid spring...

IT IS EXACTLY SAME RIGHT HERE IN SHANGHAI!!! GEE!!! I ALMOST GOT EVAPORATED STANDING IN THE TERRIBLE HEAT WAVE THESE DAYS!!!!La la la la
THE WEATHER FORECAST SAID THAT IT WOULD BE A THUNDERING STORM TODAY AT NOON, BUT THE FACT TURNED OUT THAT THE STORM HAD CAUGHT AN EARLY BUS. I WAS LISTENING TO MY PROFESSOR'S LECTURE ON BAROQUE AND CLASSICISM AT THAT TIME, WHEN SUDDENLY OUT OF NOWHERE LIGHTNING FLASHED, FOLLOWING BY THE RAGING THUNDER. SOON THE RAIN DROPS DESCENDED, HITTING THE WINDOWS HEAVILY, WHICH SOUNDED LIKE DRUMS. LUCKILY THE STORM HAS STOPPED WHEN THE CLASS WAS OVER, OTHERWISE I MIGHT RUSH TO THE NEXT CLASS IN THE RAIN AND GOT TOTALLY WET :3

NICE WRITTING,TOO~

The air is an oven
With no door to escape

IT'S MY FAVOURITE PART! :3
